Η 96η τελετή απονομής των βραβείων Όσκαρ 2024 ξεκίνησε μία ώρα νωρίτερα από τα συνηθισμένα, στη 01:00 τα ξημερώματα της Δευτέρας 11 Μαρτίου (ώρα Ελλάδας) στο Dolby Theater του Los Angeles.

Ο Tζίμι Κίμελ ήταν για ακόμα μια φορά ο παρουσιαστής των βραβείων της Αμερικανικής Ακαδημίας Κινηματογράφου. 

Ως μεγάλα φαβορί για φέτος είχαν αναδειχθεί το Oppenheimer, το οποίο μπήκε στην αίθουσα με συνολικά 13 υποψηφιότητες και έφυγε με 7.

Αντίστοιχα, το Poor Things  ήταν υποψήφιο σε 11 κατηγορίες και κέρδισε 4 χρυσά αγαλματίδια, πέφτοντας απόλυτα εντός των προβλέψεων που ήθελαν την ταινία του Γιώργου Λάνθιμου να κατακτά το βραβείο ‘Α Γυναικείου Ρόλου και τεχνικές κατηγορίες, όπως Ενδυματολογίας, Μακιγιάζ και Σκηνογραφίας.

Μεγάλος νικητής λοιπόν, το Oppenheimer.
